1st Pacific Islands Dermatology Conference
The first Pacific Islands Dermatology Conference, themed 'Advancing Skin Health for Pacific Communities', was an international scientific meeting for dermatology clinicians, researchers, policy makers and health professionals working on skin health in the Pacific, held 18-19 June 2026 in the auditorium of the School of Nursing at Tamavua, Suva. Fiji's Minister for Health and Medical Services opened it and credited the organising committee of the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS), the Pacific Dermatology Learning programme and a local Fijian team, and the meeting coincided with Fiji's first locally trained dermatologists moving towards registration. The Australasian College of Dermatologists, whose president reported on the inaugural conference, records 96 delegates and 40 presenters from 26 countries. Dates, theme and venue are confirmed from the ILDS events listing and from Fiji Times and FBC News coverage of the opening, so the venue is confirmed rather than expected; the delegate figure comes from the Australasian College's own report rather than from the organisers directly. The School of Nursing auditorium is not yet a record in the property directory. This edition has already taken place.
