  • Claim requests: claimant name, email, and verification code.
  • Contact messages: name, email, and message content.
  • Account data: if you sign in, your name and email as provided by the authentication provider.
  • Usage data: anonymised analytics such as page views and referral clicks.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to operate the directory, verify listing ownership, respond to enquiries, prevent abuse, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

4. Provenance and public visibility

Field-level provenance (source type and timestamp) is public for transparency. Contact details submitted via the free-listing form are stored privately and are not displayed publicly unless the owner chooses to publish them. Verification tiers and drift status are public.

5. Cookies and authentication

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. Data retention

Listing data is retained while the listing is live. Provenance entries are append-only and retained indefinitely for auditability. Contact messages and claim records are retained as needed for administration.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us through the contact page. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Third-party links

The directory contains links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is fully secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify significant changes through the directory.
