AEA 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting

The Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australasian Epidemiological Association is the association's main research conference, and the 2026 edition is convened by its Moana Pasifika Chapter under the theme 'One Ocean, One Health: Epidemiology for a Healthier Tomorrow, the Pacific and Beyond'. It draws epidemiologists, public health researchers, biostatisticians and health policy staff from Australia, New Zealand and across the Pacific for three days of scientific sessions and workshops, with streams on infectious disease, non-communicable disease, indigenous and Pacific health, climate and environmental epidemiology, and causal inference and data linkage. The meeting ran 13-15 October 2026 at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island. Dates, venue, organiser and theme are confirmed on the conference's own site at aea2026.org, and the venue is independently corroborated by Accor's own meetings-and-events listing for the conference at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa. Re-checked on 2026-10-28, a fortnight after the meeting: the conference site still carries the same 13-15 October dates, the Sofitel venue and the same theme, and no delegate figure, programme summary, communique, Fiji news coverage or event photograph has been published since.
