8th Pacific Media Summit 2026
The 8th Pacific Media Summit is the region's biennial gathering of media professionals, organised by the Pacific Islands News Association (PINA) and hosted by the Fijian Media Association. It ran 21-25 September 2026 at Wasawasa Lodge in Savusavu on Vanua Levu - the first time in fourteen years the summit returned to Fiji - under the theme 'Reaching the Remote: Media and Digital Innovation for a Connected Blue Pacific', and was opened by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka. PINA put attendance at almost 200 participants, drawn from regional newsrooms, broadcasters, communications specialists, development partners and governments, making it the association's largest conference turnout. Venue, dates, organisers and the delegate figure are confirmed from PINA's own announcement and from Fiji Sun's coverage of the opening; Wasawasa Lodge is not yet in this directory, so no venue link has been set. This edition has already taken place.
