SEIAPI Conference 2026
The inaugural conference of the Sustainable Energy Industry Association of the Pacific Islands (SEIAPI), themed 'Transitioning to Solar Energy in the Pacific Islands', was held over two days at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva and drew more than 200 energy stakeholders - Pacific government energy officials, utilities, solar installers and suppliers, development partners and regional agencies. SEIAPI, the region's peak sustainable energy industry body, organised and hosted it with support from the Pacific Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (PCREEE), and the programme included a women-in-energy session alongside the main technical sessions and a donor panel. Venue, dates and theme are confirmed from SEIAPI's own conference page and from the Kiribati Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy's report on its delegation's attendance, so the venue is confirmed rather than expected; the delegate figure comes from PCREEE's account of the conference. One regional event calendar lists the dates as 25-26 March, a day later than SEIAPI's own page, which is treated as authoritative here. This edition has already taken place.
