Fiji Venues That Can Hold 200 Delegates

A handful of Fiji properties seat 200 delegates in a single room, and fewer feed them there. On verified figures the clear options are Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort on Denarau, Shangri-La Yanuca Island on the Coral Coast, Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay, and — in Suva — Grand Pacific Hotel, Novotel Suva Lami Bay, Holiday Inn Suva and Vodafone Arena.

What the banquet column tells you that the theatre column hides

Read that table again down the banquet column and the shortlist changes shape.

Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay's Event Centres seat 448 theatre — comfortably past 200 — but each takes 180 banquet. Book one for a 200-delegate conference and your plenary works beautifully while your gala dinner does not fit. The fix at that property is Baravi 1 at 240 banquet, or combining spaces, but you have to know to ask.

The same trap sits under The Westin Denarau's Senirosi Ballroom: 200 theatre, 150 banquet. Fine for the sessions, short for the dinner.

Rule of thumb: a round-table dinner needs roughly 60–70% of the room's theatre number. If your event has a seated dinner in it, size the venue on banquet and let theatre look after itself. This is the single most common sizing error we see in Fiji RFPs.

Which venues clear 200 on both counts?

On the verified figures above, four:

Shangri-La also publishes Rara at 1,305 m² for 1,000 reception, and a pair of Ratu Makutu halves at 300 theatre / 250 banquet each — which is the useful configuration when you want plenary in one half and catering in the other.

Sheraton's Orchid (280 theatre / 180 banquet) and Pacific Ballroom (280 theatre / 150 banquet) are the breakout-scale rooms at that property rather than plenary rooms for 200 with dinner.

Where can 200 delegates also sleep?

This is the second filter and it is where island and boutique options tend to fall out.

Two hundred delegates is roughly 100–140 rooms depending on how many share, before you add organisers, speakers and crew. Very few Fiji properties hold that on their own outside the Denarau and Coral Coast resort strips.

Our directory holds a verified room count for only a minority of Fiji properties — Grand Pacific Hotel Suva at 113 is one — so rather than publish numbers we have not checked, the honest instruction is: ask every shortlisted property for its total room inventory and the number it will contract to your block, in the same email as the capacity question. A venue that can seat your plenary but houses only half your delegates turns into a multi-property event, which is a different and more expensive thing. What this list deliberately does not claim

Several significant Fiji conference properties do not appear above, and their absence is a gap in our verified data rather than a judgement on the venue.

Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa, Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Denarau Island, Warwick Fiji, InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay and The Pearl Resort at Pacific Harbour all run conference and incentive business. We have not yet verified their room-by-room capacities against a primary source, so we have not listed numbers for them. When we do, they go on this page.

We also do not publish capacity figures for directory records without a verifiable operating website. If you have seen a Fiji "convention centre" quoted somewhere with confident numbers and no traceable operator, treat it the same way we do.

The honest verdict

• 200 delegates, plenary plus gala, one roof, easy air access: Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort on Denarau. The Denarau Island Convention Centre is built for several times your number, which means your event is a comfortable fit rather than a stretch.
• 200 delegates, resort setting, strong outdoor options: Shangri-La Yanuca Island. Ratu Makutu splits into halves at 300 theatre each, which suits a plenary-plus-catering pattern well.
• 200 delegates, Nadi, minimal transfer from the airport: Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay — but contract Baravi 1 or a combined space if there is a seated dinner.
• 200 delegates, government, academic or association audience in the capital: Grand Pacific Hotel Suva, with Novotel Suva Lami Bay and Holiday Inn Suva as alternates and the Japan-Pacific ICT Centre for lecture-format sessions.
• Anything above 1,000, or a plenary that needs arena scale: Vodafone Arena, and read which Fiji venue is actually the largest first.
