A three-night Fiji incentive is a tight but workable shape: arrival and welcome, one big set-piece day, one free day with optional activity, and a gala night before departure. Built from published operator rates, the activity and transfer components land in a band of roughly FJ$500 to FJ$1,350 per person. Accommodation and delegate catering sit on top, and those are quote-only in Fiji.

This is that programme, day by day, with every priced element sourced to an operator's published rate.

An important honest note on costing

No Fijian resort publishes a day delegate rate or a conference package price. We searched every major conference property in the country. They publish capacity charts in detail and prices nowhere. Fiji is a quote-on-request market.

So this article costs what can actually be costed: activities, transfers and published experience rates. Accommodation, meeting space, banquet catering and beverage must come from a quote. Any article that tells you a Fiji incentive costs "FJ$X all in" without a quote behind it is guessing.

Two further additions to every line below:

  • Tax. From 1 September 2026 Fiji applies a 5% Tourism Services Tax on tourism operators above FJ$2m annual turnover, on top of 12.5% VAT. Roughly 17.5% combined on major-operator supply. Smaller suppliers sit outside TST.
  • Currency. All figures in FJD. At the Reserve Bank of Fiji's published rates of 17 September 2026, 1 FJD = 0.7813 NZD, 0.6297 AUD, 0.4463 USD.

Day 1 — Arrival, Denarau

Afternoon: Arrivals into Nadi International. Meet and greet airside, transfer to Denarau — roughly 25 minutes by road.

Published transfer rates give you a sanity check before quotes arrive. Xplore Fiji publishes Nadi Airport to Denarau at FJ$50 for one to four passengers rising to FJ$220 for 14 to 22. Airport Shuttle Fiji publishes a per-person seat-in-coach rate of FJ$34 one way to Denarau. For a reward programme you are likely to want private vehicles at the lower passenger bands rather than a shared coach — the arrival experience is part of the reward.

Evening: Welcome function at the resort. Beachfront or lawn, sunset timing, Fijian welcome. This is a resort-quoted element.

Denarau works for a three-night incentive because it removes transfer friction entirely. Every other option in Fiji costs you an hour or more of programme time each way.

Priced elements today: transfers only.

Day 2 — The set-piece day

This is the day the programme is remembered for. Two strong published options, and they are quite different.

Option A — Island day, Mamanucas

Malamala Beach Club publishes a Full Day Pass at FJ$215 per person, valid to 31 March 2027, including return coach transfers from most Nadi, Denarau, Vuda and Wailoaloa hotels, Wi-Fi, towels and non-motorised water sports. A half-day pass is FJ$185.

Cloud 9, the floating platform off the Mamanucas, publishes from FJ$249.99 for a 9am or 1pm session including transfers and a FJ$60 bar tab, with a day bed and bar credit option from FJ$500.

Both are genuinely reward-grade and both include transfers, which simplifies the costing considerably.

Option B — Cultural and river day, inland Viti Levu

Sigatoka River Safari publishes FJ$349 per person ex-Nadi, Denarau, Natadola, Sonaisali and Momi, for a 270-minute jetboat and village experience with return mini-coach transfers included. Ex-Coral Coast it is FJ$329. Allow a full day — transfers add 1.5 to 2 hours each way from Denarau.

Off Road Fiji runs a cave safari of 4.5 to 5 hours, or 6 to 8 hours with transfers, including a village visit, kava ceremony and Fijian barbecue lunch.

If the group's value is cultural connection rather than beach time, Option B is the stronger choice — and it takes the programme somewhere the Denarau resort strip cannot.

Evening: Themed dinner at the resort. Lovo, meke, Fijian performance. Resort-quoted.

A note on cultural performance: book it properly. Performers should be named, credited and paid, not treated as resort decoration bundled into a package price. We cover this in Fijian culture and custom: a guide for visitors and event planners.

Priced elements today: FJ$215–FJ$349 per person.

Day 3 — Free morning, optional activity, gala night

The free morning is not a gap in the programme. It is the part high performers most often rate highest, and it lets the resort's own facilities do the work.

Optional afternoon activities, all at published rates:

Captain Cook Cruises Island & Reef Day SailFrom A$189 (AUD)10am–5pmSailing, meals, unlimited beer/wine/soft drinks on island, transfers from select hotels

*A caution on Zip Fiji: at the time of writing the operator's website was serving injected spam content unrelated to its business, which makes everything published on it unreliable. The company is a long-established Fijian operator, but confirm the rate and the product by phone before you build it into a programme.

Two operational warnings that will catch out a DMC-packaged programme:

  • Ecotrax states plainly: "No agent bookings accepted." If your DMC is packaging the programme, this one has to be booked another way. It also closes Sundays, out of respect for the villages the route passes through.
  • Flavours of Fiji does not publish a maximum class size anywhere. For an incentive group of thirty or more this is the key unknown — confirm capacity before you promise it.

Evening: Gala dinner and awards. The emotional peak of the programme and the largest single F&B line. Resort-quoted.

Priced elements today: FJ$180–FJ$545 per person depending on option.

Day 4 — Departure

Late checkout where the flight allows, departure transfers to Nadi.

One sequencing rule that matters more in Fiji than most destinations: do not schedule an island element on departure day. Return sailings from the Mamanucas and Yasawas land late afternoon to early evening. Octopus Resort publishes the consequence explicitly — a flight departing before 9.30pm pushes you off the scheduled ferry entirely, and before 3.30pm rules out the helicopter too. Keep the last day on Viti Levu.

What does the priced portion come to?

ComponentLowHigh
Arrival and departure transfers (private, small group basis)FJ$100FJ$440
Day 2 set-pieceFJ$215FJ$349
Day 3 optional activityFJ$180FJ$545
Priced subtotal per personFJ$495FJ$1,334

Add to this, all quote-only: three nights' accommodation, welcome function, themed dinner, gala dinner, beverage across three evenings, meeting space if there is a business session, staging and AV, gifting, and a programme manager. Those will substantially exceed the priced subtotal above — in most Fiji incentive programmes, accommodation and F&B together are the majority of the budget.

Then add roughly 17.5% VAT and TST on major-operator supply, and note that the smaller activity operators may fall under the FJ$2m TST threshold and be taxed differently. Make every supplier state on the quote which taxes they are charging.

Where this programme breaks

Three nights is genuinely short. With arrival and departure days consumed by travel, you have two usable days. That is why this itinerary stays on Denarau — adding the Coral Coast or an island stay costs you most of a day and leaves one usable day.

The Yasawas do not fit. Four hours each way to the north of the chain. A three-night programme cannot absorb it.

Weather contingency is not optional. Every outdoor element above needs an indoor alternative costed at the same headcount, and that is a real budget line rather than a footnote.

The verdict

For three nights, stay on Denarau, spend the money on one outstanding set-piece day and one exceptional gala night, and leave a genuine free morning. Resist the temptation to fill every hour — the free morning consistently outperforms the activity you would have put there.

If you have four or five nights, the shape changes entirely and an island or Coral Coast component becomes worth the transfer time.
