Fiji has a deep bench of ground and marine transport operators, and almost none of them are visible to couples planning from Auckland or Sydney. This is the list: named coach, car and boat operators with real fleets, what each covers, how big their vehicles go, and how to brief them so the quotes you get back can actually be compared.
Very few Fiji transport operators publish rates. That is not evasion — group transport is priced per movement, per vehicle and per hour, so the number depends entirely on your brief. The fix is to write a better brief, which is the second half of this guide.
Who runs the large coaches?
If you are moving a full wedding party — 30 guests and up, or a guest shuttle running between two properties — you need a coach operator rather than a transfer company.
| Operator | Base | Largest published vehicle | Coverage |
|---|---|---|---|
| TEWAKA Fiji | Martintar, Nadi | 53-seat deluxe coach | Nadi, Denarau, Lautoka, Coral Coast, Suva |
| Tourist Transport Fiji | Nadi International Airport | Coaches, 30-seaters, 17-seaters, wheelchair-accessible vehicles | Nadi, Denarau, Coral Coast, Lautoka |
| Pacific Transport Limited | Walubay, Suva | 12-metre air-conditioned luxury coaches | Suva, Coral Coast, Nadi, Lautoka |
| Pehicle Tours Fiji | Nadi | 49-seat coach | Nadi, Denarau, Coral Coast, Lautoka, Suva |
| Go Local Fiji | Nadi | 35-seat bus | Nadi, Denarau, Coral Coast, Suva, Lautoka |
| Classic Buses Ltd | Lautoka | Charter buses (capacity not published) | Lautoka, Nadi |
| Central Transport Company | Vatuwaqa, Suva | Charter hire from a scheduled-route fleet | Suva |
A few things worth knowing about this group.
TEWAKA is a 100% Fijian-owned destination management company as well as a transport operator, established in 1999, with a meet-and-greet arrivals lounge at Nadi International Airport and charters available for groups of 15 or more. It names wedding transport specifically. Tourist Transport Fiji has been operating more than 35 years, is based at the airport itself, runs a dedicated groups and series department, and includes wheelchair-accessible vehicles in its fleet — the only operator in our directory that publishes that. Pacific Transport is a scheduled-service bus company first: it runs the Queens Road corridor linking Suva, Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka and Ba, which makes it the natural choice if your movement follows that road.
Who handles airport transfers and smaller vehicles?
For arrivals, departures and anything under about 15 people, the transfer operators are usually faster and cheaper than a coach.
| Operator | Base | Notable | Service areas |
|---|---|---|---|
| Airport Shuttle Fiji | Nadi Airport | Operated by Tourist Transport Fiji; 24-hour | Nadi, Denarau, Port Denarau Marina, Coral Coast, Natadola, Lautoka |
| Fiji VIP Transfers | Nadi | Powered by Rosie Holidays; three tiers including 4-seat electric vehicles with WiFi and a 37-seat shared coach; vehicles kept no older than four years | Nadi, Denarau, Coral Coast |
| Epic Transfer & Tours Fiji | Nadi | Fijian family-owned, established 2016, 20-plus staff | Nadi, Denarau, Coral Coast, Mamanuca departure points |
| Xplore Fiji | Nadi Airport | 24-hour; complimentary baby seats on request | Nadi, Denarau, Coral Coast |
| Mick's Fiji Tours & Transfers | Martintar, Nadi | Describes itself as the only 100% indigenous Fijian-owned airport and hotel shuttle service | Nadi, Denarau, Coral Coast |
| Sugar Taxi & Tours | Lautoka | In the industry since 1979; 24/7; vehicles with radio, GPS and air-conditioning | Lautoka, Nadi, Denarau, Coral Coast, Suva |
| Coastline Fiji | Sigatoka | Fijian-owned, established 2011 | Coral Coast, Nadi |
| Coral Coast Transfers Tours & Rentals | Coral Coast | 100% locally owned, 24-hour | Coral Coast, Nadi, Lautoka, Suva |
| Fiji Transfers | Nadi | 24/7 private transfers with registered local drivers | Nadi, Denarau, Coral Coast, Suva |
| Tour Managers Fiji | Nadi | Shared and private transfers plus charter coach | Nadi, Denarau, Coral Coast, Lautoka, Suva |
| Oceania Pacific Tours | Nadi | Transfers and day tours across Viti Levu | Nadi, Denarau, Coral Coast, Pacific Harbour, Suva |
| Fiji Chauffeurs & Transfers | Nadi | Private chauffeur-style car transfers | Nadi, Denarau, Coral Coast, Pacific Harbour, Suva |
| Keldan's Taxi & Tours | Savusavu | Local transfers on Vanua Levu | Taveuni and Vanua Levu |
For a couple's own car — the drive to the ceremony, the departure after the reception — the chauffeur and private-car operators are the right category. For guests arriving on three different flights across one afternoon, a 24-hour operator with airport staff matters more than vehicle quality.
Who moves people by water?
If your venue is in the Mamanucas or Yasawas, the boat is the transfer, and it is the single most schedule-sensitive part of the day.
| Operator | Departs from | Fleet and capacity as published | Reaches |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mamanuca Express | Port Denarau | Eight modern vessels, 24/7; more than 35 years in sea transport | Mamanucas, Yasawas |
| SeaFiji | Port Denarau | SeaFiji Link and SeaFiji Direct scheduled services plus private charter; reports 45,000-plus passengers and 20,000-plus charter trips | Mana, Beachcomber, Yasawa, Likuliku and other resort islands |
| Yasawa Adventures | Port Denarau | Yasawa Flyer high-speed catamaran, daily scheduled service | Mamanucas and Yasawas via South Sea Island |
| Coral Cats Sailing | Port Denarau Marina | 13-metre sailing catamaran Wanaka, up to 25 guests, plus speedboats | Mamanuca reefs, Musket Cove |
| Manu Charters | Denarau Marina | Yacht carrying up to nine guests, with toilet and shower | Mamanucas; Yasawas on request |
| Rare Fiji Adventures | Naisoso Jetty, Nadi | Private speedboats, up to eight passengers per boat | Mamanuca island resorts |
The split is straightforward. Mamanuca Express, SeaFiji and Yasawa Adventures are the volume operators — use them when the whole guest list is moving and a scheduled or semi-scheduled service is fine. Coral Cats, Manu Charters and Rare Fiji Adventures are small-boat operators — use them for the couple, the bridal party, a photography run, or a sunset cruise for twenty.
One planning note that catches people out: the scheduled catamarans run to a timetable that has nothing to do with your ceremony. If your guests are arriving on the afternoon service and your ceremony is at 5pm, that is not a margin, it is a coin toss. Build the ceremony around the boat, or charter.
What do transfers actually cost and how long do they take?
Published drive times from Nadi International Airport (NAN), taken from the resorts' own sites:
| Destination | Published transfer time |
|---|---|
| Denarau (Radisson Blu) | About 30 minutes, 13.6 km |
| Denarau (Sheraton Fiji) | About 30 minutes, 15 km |
| Natadola (InterContinental Fiji) | About 55 minutes |
| Natadola (Yatule Resort & Spa) | About 60 minutes |
| Coral Coast (Outrigger Fiji, Korotogo) | About 70 minutes |
| Mamanucas (Castaway Island) | About 90 minutes by catamaran from Port Denarau; about 10 minutes by helicopter |
| Pacific Harbour (Nanuku) | About 30 minutes by private air, or about 2.5 hours by road |

On price, the only rate we can point to is published by a resort rather than an operator: Outrigger Fiji lists a private transfer via TEWAKA from FJ$258 for up to four people (Outrigger Fiji). Treat that as one data point on one route, not a benchmark. Every other operator in this directory quotes on request, and no Fiji transport operator we reviewed publishes a rate card online.
Note also that these are stated times, not guaranteed ones, and they assume clear conditions. Heavy rain on the Queens Road and the Nadi town bottleneck both add to a coach schedule.
How to brief a Fiji transport operator so the quotes compare
Send every operator the same eight lines. If you do, three quotes come back comparable; if you don't, they come back in three different units.
- Date, and every movement on it — with a time and a direction for each, not just "airport transfers".
- Passenger count per movement, and whether that includes children.
- Pick-up and drop-off points by name, including the terminal (Nadi International arrivals is not the same task as Port Denarau Marina).
- Luggage — a wedding party moves dresses, suits, decor and often AV. Say so; it changes the vehicle.
- Wait time — is the vehicle held between movements or released?
- Whether you need a meet-and-greet at the airport, and whether guests are arriving on multiple flights.
- Accessibility requirements, if any. Tourist Transport Fiji is the operator in this list that publishes wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
- Whether the quote is per vehicle or per person, and what happens if numbers change.
Ask for the answer in FJD, and ask whether it includes government tax. Then confirm the operator holds a current Land Transport Authority licence for the class of vehicle quoted — licensed taxis and LTA-approved buses in Fiji carry yellow number plates (Smartraveller).
Choose this way
For a guest shuttle of 30 or more, brief TEWAKA, Tourist Transport Fiji and Pehicle Tours together. For airport arrivals spread across a day, Airport Shuttle Fiji or Fiji VIP Transfers. For a Coral Coast wedding with local movements, Coastline Fiji or Coral Coast Transfers. For a Mamanuca island wedding, lock the boat before you lock the ceremony time, and talk to Mamanuca Express or SeaFiji. For the couple's own car, a chauffeur operator.
Next: work through the rest of the supplier categories in Fiji wedding suppliers: who to book and how, check the accompanying logistics in getting guests to Fiji, and if you are moving a larger group, coach charter in Fiji: fleet, capacity and cost covers the business-events version of the same problem. Browse operators by region from Nadi or the Coral Coast.
