Fiji has a small number of genuinely capable event companies and no accredited list to find them on. Tourism Fiji publishes no preferred business-events partner register, Fiji has no national PCO association, and several companies that appear in search results are either dormant, unverifiable, or not event companies at all. Here is who is actually trading, what each one says it does, and the largest job each has publicly handled.

Is there an official list of Fiji event organisers?

No. We checked. Tourism Fiji's business-events page does not resolve, and the fiji.travel home page carries no meetings, incentives or trade section. What the site does have is an open "Experiences" directory that happens to include some event suppliers — ATS Pacific Fiji, Microhire, Team Up Events, Tour Managers Fiji — with no accreditation labels, no business-events category and, in one case, no contact details or website at all.

The one body on the record is the Fiji Convention Bureau, which Tourism Fiji formed in 2015. The most recent account we could find dates from 2018, when the Bureau was reported to have won mostly government meetings and to be looking to set up a second events team. Its current status is unverified. Tourism Fiji's CEO Dr Paresh Pant, appointed in late 2025, has growing Fiji's MICE standing as part of his charter, with Australia and New Zealand as focus markets, but no named programme or team has been announced.

We also found no Fiji PCO association. The industry body that does exist and does cover events is the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association, which runs HOTEC.

One telling detail: when Tourism Fiji ran a MICE function in Auckland, the buyers in the room were described as "MICE and PCO agents from New Zealand", and none of the thirteen Fijian companies present was labelled a PCO. Read that as a signal about where conference management sits rather than as a proven rule — no source states outright that Fiji has no local PCOs.

Which Fiji companies are confirmed trading?

Who does what, in practice?

Reading across those entries, Fiji's event sector divides into four roles rather than one, and almost nobody holds all four.

  • Ground handling and destination management — airport meet-and-greet, transfers, accommodation blocks, excursions, village visits, team building. Rosie Holidays, ATS Pacific and Tour Managers Fiji sit here. This is the deepest, most competitive part of the market.
  • Technical production — sound, screens, staging, rigging, streaming. Encore and Microhire. Encore is the only in-country company we could confirm explicitly offering rigging, and it is the contracted in-house provider at five named venues.
  • Hire, styling and themed build — marquees, furniture, props, décor. Party & Events Fiji and RK Event Hire.
  • Delegate management — registration, badging, session management, exhibition floor. Team Up Events is the only company we found publishing onsite registration as a service. This is the thinnest part of the Fiji market, and the function most often brought in from offshore.

If your event needs all four, you are either appointing a lead agency to subcontract the rest or coordinating them yourself. Ask which, early.

What about the names that do not check out?

Published honestly, because the search results will send you to all three.

  • Vasaqa Fiji is a restaurant and catering business at Wailoaloa, Nadi, which caters corporate gatherings, weddings and film production. Excellent at that; it is not a DMC or PCO.
  • Events Fiji (eventsfiji.co) exists as a site, based in Nadi, offering hen and bucks parties, proposals, weddings, elopements, conference gifts, team building, charters and spa days. Its footer reads "© 2014 – 2023" and the page carries a noindex tag. Whether it is currently trading is unconfirmed.
  • Viti Events has a domain, an X account and a LinkedIn page. We could not read the site, so its services, location, trading status and capability are all unconfirmed. Do not brief it off a search result.
  • Go Local Fiji has a live transfer booking storefront covering Nadi airport and hotel routes, but no corporate website, legal name or stated MICE capability we could verify.

Who handles freight and customs?

Worth knowing before you ship a single pallet, because for commercial goods a licensed customs agent is mandatory and must be engaged before arrival. Two confirmed options with a presence at Nadi International Airport: Carpenters Shipping, offering airfreight forwarding, customs agency, bonded storage and cargo deconsolidation, with cooler facilities at its Nadi Airport branch; and Williams & Goslings, offering freight forwarding, customs clearance and brokerage, airfreight, heavy and specialised project transport and warehousing, with offices in Lautoka, Suva, Savusavu and at the airport.

How to brief them so the quotes compare

The on-record complaint about Fiji's event sector, from the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association's own commentary, is slow response to quote requests — described as "the industry's worst complaint" — and a tendency to answer with off-the-shelf offerings. Tailored proposals were called "increasingly rare".

That is fixable from your side of the brief.

  1. State the delegate number, the dates and the budget band. A brief without all three gets an off-the-shelf reply, because nothing else can be written.
  2. Say which of the four roles you are buying. "We need a DMC" and "we need onsite registration for 400" are different procurements.
  3. Name the venue if you have one — the AV answer may already be decided. Encore's in-house status at five properties means your technical supplier may be set by your venue choice. Whether those venues contractually exclude outside AV and rigging contractors is not published, so ask the venue directly.
  4. Give a deadline and a format. A fixed line-item template is the only way three Fiji quotes become comparable.
  5. Ask for a reference event at your scale. Several companies here have a documented largest job; ask for the one closest to yours.

Next step: read do you need a DMC in Fiji to decide what you are actually appointing, then how to brief a Fiji DMC and get comparable quotes for the template. For the division of responsibility between an in-country DMC and an offshore PCO, see PCOs and conference organisers for Fiji events. Activity suppliers are listed separately in the Fiji activity and tour operators directory, and the cluster hub is the Fiji DMC and PCO directory.
