Fiji has no convention bureau, no accredited-DMC scheme and no conference subvention fund. It also has a small number of genuinely capable ground operators, one market-leading AV company, and a free government company register you can check a supplier against in about two minutes. This hub names the verified operators, states what each publishes, and sets out how to vet the rest.

Every company below was confirmed against its own live website. Where a business could not be verified, or where there is a reason for caution, that is stated rather than omitted.

Does Fiji have a convention bureau?

No. There is no separate incorporated convention bureau in Fiji. Tourism Fiji performs the role through a business events team and a dedicated MICE subsite at businesseventsfiji.com, and it exhibits at international business events trade shows.

Three consequences that shape how you source in Fiji:

  1. There is no destination body to run a bid on your behalf. You approach venues and operators directly.
  2. There is no accredited-supplier list. Nobody vets Fiji DMCs on your behalf. Awards, industry association membership and the company register are the verification levers available.
  3. There is no subvention. Tourism Fiji's published Event Investment programme comprises the Event Development Fund (up to FJD$20,000 for Fiji-owned early-stage events) and the Marquee Event Fund (FJD$20,000-plus for established events drawing 100 or more international visitors) — and both explicitly exclude meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. If a proposal assumes Fijian destination cash support for your conference, that assumption is wrong.

Nor is there a formal credential ecosystem. We could not verify a single Fiji-based member of IATA, SITE, PCMA or IAPCO, and PATA's chapter directory lists no Fiji chapter. Fiji is a member country of the Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO), which is headquartered in Suva and promotes Fiji MICE editorially but is not a bidding body.

That is not a reason to avoid Fiji. It is a reason to do your own due diligence properly, which the rest of this guide sets out.

Who are Fiji's destination management companies?

Four operators publish a real ground-handling and event capability, and all four are Fijian-based.

TEWAKA Fiji — Martintar, Nadi, with an arrivals lounge at Nadi International. Established 1999. Describes itself in its own words as "a 100% Fijian owned & operated Destination Management Company (DMC) and Transport Services provider", publishing 24/7 airport transfers, private transfers, coach charter for groups of 15 or more, a dedicated conference logistics service, and weddings and special events. Fleet from sedans to 53-seat deluxe coaches, with its own booking app. Tourism Fiji Hall of Fame inductee with Fiji tourism and employer awards in 2019, 2022 and 2023. This is the clearest self-declared Fijian-owned DMC in the market.

Rosie Holidays (Rosie Fiji) — head office at 25–27 Queens Road, Martintar, Nadi, with a customer care desk at Nadi International and tour desks in major hotels. Established 1974, family-owned, publishing approximately 160 staff and 100 vehicles. Its services page states it operates a "dedicated Conference & Events division" catering specifically for the MICE market, covering bespoke incentive programmes, large-scale conferences, team-building programmes, community projects, special functions and weddings. Rosie Events has won the Specialised Tourism Services award and entered the Fiji Tourism Hall of Fame. It is the largest inbound operator in Fiji by published fleet and headcount.

Tourist Transport Fiji Ltd — Nadi International Airport, publishing 35-plus years of operation and roughly 100,000 passengers a year, with 24-hour airport transfers, private and shared vehicles, scheduled seat-in-vehicle resort connections, wheelchair-accessible transfers, and ground handling for conferences and incentive groups. Its sightseeing division trades as Great Sights Fiji — note that this is a division, not a separate company. Its airport shuttle operation is listed in the directory as Airport Shuttle Fiji.

Tour Managers Fiji (by Kimaya) — established 2004, 100% Fijian-owned, publishing a GPS-tracked air-conditioned fleet, 24/7 airport support, reservations and itinerary planning, and a corporate and group travel service covering event planning, incentive trips and conference management. Publishes ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards recognition in 2017 and bronze in 2022 and 2023, plus TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice awards 2024–2026 and named hotel and airline partnerships.

Who does conference organising and event production on the ground?

This is the thinnest part of the Fijian market, and it is worth being precise about it.

Party & Events Fiji / PEF Conference, trading as Entertainment Pro Fiji Ltd, is the nearest thing Fiji has to a locally based event production house with a genuine two-city footprint — a Nadi headquarters and warehouse since 2011 and a Suva office and warehouse opened in 2014. It publishes event hire (furniture, marquee, décor, props), event styling, and full event management covering transport, accommodation, catering, entertainment, sound, lighting and photography, plus conference styling and venue coordination across Fiji resorts. Published track record includes delivery for the Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards and the Fiji Tourism Expo, an 800-guest incentive group in 2019, and clients including ANZ Bank, Samsung, Tourism Fiji and UNICEF Pacific.

Beyond that, Fiji has no verified Suva-headquartered professional conference organiser with a live website. Associations and government bodies running conferences in Suva typically use a mainland-Fiji supplier from Nadi, an in-house venue team, or an offshore PCO.

The offshore option is legitimate and common: Conference Fiji, an Australian-based PCO, publishes a full service for Fiji conferences — venue sourcing, AV and production management, registration and delegate management, speakers, sponsorship, onsite management, budgets, flights and in-Fiji transfers — deploying Australian staff onsite. It has no permanent Fiji office. Whether that suits depends on whether you value local knowledge or contractual familiarity more.

Who supplies AV, staging and production?

Encore Event Technologies Fiji is the market leader and it is not close. Based at Denarau Business Park on Denarau Island, part of the Encore APAC group which is in-house provider to more than 100 hotels across Asia-Pacific, it publishes audio visual, staging and set fabrication, production and technical support, creative services, and in-person, virtual and hybrid event technology. Its published Fiji venue network covers the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, the Grand Pacific Hotel, Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa, Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay and TRIBE Na Tomba.

Microhire is an Australian AV company operating as in-house AV at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort on Denarau, across the property's 3,551 square metres of function space, with a Fiji-specific contact address. We could not confirm a standalone registered Fiji office — the published relationship is a venue partnership.

Because the two market leaders are venue-aligned, your AV supplier is often determined by your venue choice. Establish at the venue-shortlist stage whether the property has an exclusive in-house AV arrangement, what it costs to bring in an alternative, and whether that is even permitted. That question belongs in the first RFP, not the contract review.

For structures and equipment rather than technical production, the directory lists RK Event Hire Fiji in Nadi for marquees, furniture, flooring, LED lighting, dance floors and audio; Tents & Awnings and Clyde Equipment Marquee Hire for marquees; Formscaff Fiji for scaffolding and staging structure; and Viti Events and Events Fiji for event services.

Who handles offsite events, island venues and delegate movement?

South Sea Cruises — Port Denarau, Nadi. Publishes a dedicated conference, incentive and events offering IN the Mamanucas, group island transfers, and vessel and island charters including South Sea Island and Malamala Beach Club, with a named groups contact. A Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association member.

Captain Cook Cruises Fiji — Denarau Marina. Publishes corporate events and incentives with full-vessel charters for 2 to 500 guests, including the tall ship Fiji One and MS Reef Endeavour, with a dedicated corporate bookings team and a trade agent portal. FHTA member, PADI certified, Fiji Excellence in Tourism Award winner.

Bula Buses / Denarau Shuttle Co. — Denarau Island. Daily Denarau shuttle circuit plus private charters for 5 to 500 passengers, 22- and 57-seat coach rental for Viti Levu touring, and a 15-seat VIP luxury bus.

Island transfers by fast boat run through SeaFiji and Mamanuca Express; the full transfer picture, including seaplane and helicopter operators, is in moving delegates around Fiji.

Who runs team building and delegate activities?

Team Up Events Fiji — Nadi, serving Denarau and Coral Coast resorts, publishing corporate team building, conference team experiences, incentive-group arrival experiences and staff engagement programmes. It is the Fiji partner to Catalyst Global, a global team-building network spanning 36 companies across more than 70 regions, and a B1G1 lifetime partner. That network membership is the strongest formal credential we found anywhere in the Fiji activity market.

Talanoa Treks — Suva-based, describing itself as Fiji's only dedicated hiking company, running guided highland treks with typical group sizes around eight and private groups of six to twelve, from May to November, with village-stay accommodation arranged through partner communities. An Adventure Travel Trade Association member. Suits a small, high-value CSR or leadership programme rather than a large delegate block.

Discover Fiji Tours — Navua, near Pacific Harbour, running eco and adventure day tours including village visits, river canoeing, bilibili rafting and waterfall trips. Its site states no conference or group MICE capability — treat it as an activity supplier for a Suva-side programme and confirm group capacity directly.

Adventure operators including ZIP Fiji, Rivers Fiji, Sigatoka River Safari and Off Road Fiji are covered with their published group constraints in delegate experience in Fiji.

Which suppliers warrant caution?

Three, and knowing why is more useful than a blanket warning.

ATS Pacific Fiji (atspacific.com.fj — note the .com.fj domain; the .com equivalent 404s) is based at Nadi Airport, established 1981, publishing inbound travel management for FIT, group and incentive markets, and stating that its Australia, New Zealand and Fiji business is operated by the AOT Group. The site loads, but shows a dated design, no copyright year, a stale website-transition notice, and a reservations address that now sits on a Helloworld Travel domain. It may well be trading normally. Verify current status and MICE capability directly before contracting.

Eventuros Fiji resolves to a "site under maintenance" page. It appears on Business Link Pacific as an approved advisor, but categorised under marketing strategy rather than event management. Existence is probable; event-management capability is unverified.

Pacific Destinationz has no live website. It appears in Fiji business directories with a Martintar, Nadi address — 54 Cawa Road — which is the same address TEWAKA Fiji publishes for its Nadi office. That may indicate shared ownership, a succession, or a stale listing. Do not engage without a companies register check.

How do you verify a Fiji supplier?

This is the part that replaces the accreditation scheme Fiji does not have. Four steps, in order.

1. Search the company register — it is free. The Fiji Ministry of Justice Registrar of Companies confirms that a company name search may be conducted free of charge through the Digital Fiji platform using the Entity Name Search mode, at roc.digital.gov.fj. Search the exact legal name, not the trading name — trading names are not what is registered. The Registrar's helpdesk is on +679 330 8600.

2. Check industry membership. The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association, founded 1965 and based at 42 Gorrie Street, Suva, publishes an active members list across Full, Dive, Marine and Associate categories. It runs HOTEC, its hospitality trade show, and publishes industry resources. Be clear about what membership means: FHTA is not a venue or DMC accreditation body, and membership tells you a supplier is an industry participant, not that it has been vetted for conference delivery.

3. Ask for a Tourism Fiji listing. Tourism Fiji lists experience operators on fiji.travel, which is a useful secondary confirmation that a business is trading and known to the national tourism body.

4. Ask for the paperwork nobody publishes. No Fijian supplier we reviewed publishes public liability insurance certificates, and no transport supplier publishes Land Transport Authority operator licensing. Both must be requested. For a group of any size, make a current certificate of currency and — for transport — LTA operator licensing a condition of contract.

Is there any government support for conferences in Fiji?

Not for the event itself. Fiji's tourism incentives are capital-investment instruments, administered by Investment Fiji:

InstrumentWhat it covers
Short Life Investment Package (SLIP)Tax holidays scaling from 5 to 20 years by capital invested, from FJ$250,000 up to FJ$50m-plus, with projects to complete within 24 months
Hotel investment allowance25% allowance for new build, renovation or extension
Non-accommodation tourism allowance25% allowance for activities such as diving, water sports and nature tours, with a FJ$100,000 threshold
Customs concessions3% or 0% fiscal duty on building materials and equipment for SLIP projects

None of these covers convention centres, conference facilities or MICE activity. Combined with the explicit MICE exclusion from Tourism Fiji's Event Investment funds, the position is unambiguous: Fiji supports tourism capital investment, not event attraction.

One live cost to price in rather than an incentive: the Ministry of Finance has published statements on a Tourism Services Tax transition. Confirm its current status and application with your venue and your tax adviser when you build the budget — see what a Fiji conference costs.

The verdict

  • For ground handling and delegate movement, TEWAKA Fiji if you want a Fijian-owned DMC with published conference logistics; Rosie Holidays for scale and a dedicated conference and events division; Tourist Transport Fiji or Tour Managers Fiji as credible alternatives.
  • For event production on the ground, Party & Events Fiji is the only verified operator with both a Nadi and a Suva base.
  • For AV, Encore at most major venues, Microhire at the Sheraton — and settle the in-house exclusivity question before you sign a venue contract.
  • For team building, Team Up Events Fiji, on the strength of its Catalyst Global partnership.
  • For offsite events and island venues, South Sea Cruises and Captain Cook Cruises Fiji.
  • For anything else, run the four-step verification above before you transfer a deposit.

The next step

Brief three operators with the same written document — dates, exact numbers, session and function requirements, and the transfers you need — and compare what each will commit to rather than what each advertises. Ask every one of them for their registered legal name, and check it on the register.

Then size the venue shortlist on the MICE Fiji capacity chart, and read Fiji conference scenarios and benchmarks and how to source everything for a Fiji event in one place.
