Fiji has well over a hundred properties that will host a wedding, spread across ten regions and four different transfer types. This is the router: which resorts sit where, what the region does to your day, and the five questions that decide between them. Individual property guides follow, one at a time, as each is verified.
How do you actually choose a Fiji wedding resort?
Not by photographs. Every property in the country has a good photograph of a beach at sunset. Five questions separate them, and a resort that answers all five in writing is a resort worth shortlisting.
- What is the ceremony capacity of each setting, seated? Not the resort's total capacity — the specific lawn, beach or chapel you would use.
- What is the wet-weather alternative, named? "We have a covered area" is not an answer. Ask which room, its capacity, and whether it costs extra.
- How long is the transfer from Nadi International, and by what mode? Road, boat, seaplane or domestic flight — each has a different failure mode.
- What is the outside-vendor policy? Can you bring your own photographer, florist or celebrant, and is there a fee?
- What does it cost, and is VAT and service charge inside or outside that number?
If a property will not answer question two or question four before you sign, that is information.
Which region suits which wedding?
Region matters more than star rating, because region determines who can actually attend.
| Region | Transfer from Nadi International | Suits | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nadi | Road, shortest of any region | Short stays, older guests, tight budgets, big groups | Least "island" in feel |
| On Denarau Island | Road | Large weddings, mixed-age guest lists, deep supplier access | Busy; you share the resort |
| On the Coral Coast | Road, longer | Landscape variety, a wide range of price points | The drive is real and guests feel it |
| Pacific Harbour | Road, longest on Viti Levu | Adventure add-ons, quieter properties | Furthest by road |
| Suva | Road across the island, or domestic flight | City weddings, Fijian family weddings, heritage settings | Wettest region; not a beach wedding |
| Lautoka | Road | Value, marina settings, proximity to Nadi | Fewest resort-standard wedding venues |
| In the Mamanucas | Boat or seaplane from Denarau or Nadi | The classic small-island wedding, buyouts | Transfer cost per guest, per leg |
| In the Yasawas | Boat or seaplane, longer | Seclusion, dramatic landscape | A boat day each way; build a rest day around it |
| Taveuni and Vanua Levu | Domestic flight, then road | Empty frames, gentler property rates | A domestic flight per guest |
| In Fiji's Outer Islands | Boat, seaplane or domestic flight | Private-island exclusivity | Highest logistics load |
We are not publishing transfer times we cannot source. Ask each property for its own figure in writing and ask what it assumes — most quoted times assume no traffic and a scheduled boat, and neither is guaranteed.
Nadi and on Denarau Island
The pragmatic choice, and there is no shame in it. Guests land, drive a short distance and are at the resort. Older relatives, small children and anyone nervous about boats all have an easier day.
Denarau also has Fiji's deepest supplier base — photographers, florists, hair and makeup, hire and entertainment all cluster in the west, which keeps quotes competitive. See Fiji wedding suppliers.
Denarau: The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa, Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort, Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa, Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Denarau Island, The Terraces Fiji.
Nadi and Momi Bay: Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji, Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, Smugglers Cove Beach Resort, Tanoa International Hotel, Fiji Gateway Hotel.
For a garden ceremony away from the sand, the Garden of the Sleeping Giant is a genuinely distinctive Nadi setting.
On the Coral Coast
The Coral Coast is the value-and-variety region: reef flats, headlands, gardens and the Sigatoka hinterland behind, at a wider range of price points than Denarau. The cost is the drive, which guests will notice on both legs.
Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, Shangri-La Yanuca Island, InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Warwick Fiji Resort and Spa, The Naviti Resort, Yatule Resort & Spa, Fiji Hideaway Resort & Spa, Tambua Sands Beach Resort, Crusoe's Retreat, Bedarra Beach Inn, Gecko's Resort, Likuri Island Resort.
Mango Bay Resort publishes its price — FJ$3,200 for the Mango Delight package, including the registry transfer to Sigatoka, celebrant, beachfront setting, flowers, cake, a village choir and a warrior escort. It is one of only four properties in the country we can find doing so.
Pacific Harbour
The adventure end of Viti Levu, and the right choice if your guests want something to do beyond the beach. Rafting, diving and zip lines are all within reach — see the 40 best things to do in Fiji.
The Pearl Resort, Nanuku Resort, Uprising Beach Resort, Yatu Lau Lagoon Resort.
In the Mamanucas
The image most people have of a Fiji wedding. Small islands, short boat transfers from Denarau, and the country's best odds of a genuine buyout for a mid-sized group.
Tropica Island Resort publishes FJ$2,999 for its Escape to Paradise package and FJ$1,899 for a vow renewal, and states a maximum of 60 people on a full resort charter — a rare piece of published capacity data in this market.

Budget the transfer as a per-person, per-leg cost, and remember suppliers travel too.
In the Yasawas
Further, quieter, more dramatic. The honest framing: a Yasawas wedding means a substantial boat day at each end, and that is a feature if you plan around it and a problem if you pretend it away. Build a rest day either side and tell guests plainly what the journey involves.

Taveuni and Vanua Levu
Fiji's north is where you go for photographs with nobody else in them, and where property rates are often gentler than the west. The price is a domestic flight per guest.
Daku Resort in Savusavu publishes a wedding package from US$530 and, unusually, lists its add-ons individually — a warrior escort, a village choir, serenaders, Fijian attire hire and a DJ all have a public price. It is the most transparent rate card in the country.

In Fiji's Outer Islands
Private islands and one-off properties, for couples where exclusivity is the point.
Kokomo Private Island Fiji, COMO Laucala Island, Royal Davui Island Resort, Beqa Lagoon Resort, Toberua Island Resort.
Leleuvia Island Resort publishes the clearest buyout structure in Fiji: the entire island with 50 guests, mid-week, in the low-season months of April, May, September and October, on a two-night minimum, against a stated overall capacity of 150. The price is not published, but the shape of the deal is.
Suva and Lautoka
Not beach-wedding country, and that is precisely the point for some couples. Suva offers heritage architecture, a real city, and the country's institutional weight — it is also Fiji's wettest major centre, so plan indoors by default.
Suva: Grand Pacific Hotel Suva, Holiday Inn Suva, Novotel Suva Lami Bay, De Vos on the Park, Colo-i-Suva Rainforest Eco Resort.
Lautoka: First Landing Beach Resort & Villas, Anchorage Beach Resort, Tanoa Waterfront Hotel, Belo Vula Resort.
Which properties publish anything at all?
Four. That is the honest state of the market as at 9 September 2026.
| Property | What it publishes |
|---|---|
| Mango Bay Resort | Full package price, FJ$3,200, with inclusions |
| Tropica Island Resort | Two package prices, FJ$2,999 and FJ$1,899, plus a 60-person charter maximum |
| Daku Resort | From-price in USD plus an itemised add-on list |
| Leleuvia Island Resort | Buyout structure, guest numbers and minimum stay |
Everyone else quotes on enquiry. What a Fiji wedding actually costs explains why, and how to force quotes into a comparable shape.
The verdict
- Twenty guests or fewer: an island or a northern property. The transfer cost is small and the setting does the work. Start with eloping and renewing vows in Fiji.
- Forty to eighty guests: Denarau or the Coral Coast for logistics, or a small-island buyout if exclusivity matters more than convenience.
- Over a hundred guests, or a mixed-age list: Denarau. Road transfer, room depth and supplier access will save you more grief than any view.
- Photographs above all: the Mamanucas or the north, and ask which way the ceremony site faces. Fiji wedding photography and film explains why that question matters.
Next step: pick a region, shortlist three properties inside it, and send all three the five questions at the top of this page in one email. Then set the date against the best time to get married in Fiji and slot the bookings into the planning timeline.
