Twelve Fiji venues publish a price for a wedding with no guests at all — just the two of you, a celebrant and two witnesses the resort provides. Published prices start around US$530 at Daku Resort in Savusavu and run past FJ$5,000 at Royal Davui, and the difference between them is mostly whether accommodation is in the price.
This is a different question from "which resort is romantic". It is: which venues have actually built a two-person product, rather than quoting you a thirty-person package with the guests removed.
Which Fiji venues publish a two-person price?
Every figure below is published by the venue on its own website, in the currency the venue uses. They are not comparable until you read the last column.
| Venue | Region | Package | Published price | Accommodation included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Daku Resort | Savusavu | Wedding Package | From US$530 | No |
| The Remote Resort | Vanua Levu | Remote Fiji Wedding | US$875 / A$1,155 | No |
| Matangi Private Island Resort | Taveuni | Island Wedding | From US$1,725 + 15% tax | No — "+the cost of your accommodation" |
| Likuri Island Resort | Coral Coast | Elopement | FJ$1,850 per couple | No |
| Tropica Island Resort | Mamanucas | Escape to Paradise | FJ$2,999 | No |
| Tokoriki Island Resort | Mamanucas | Elopement | FJ$3,342 | No |
| Lomani Island Resort & Spa | Mamanucas | Lomani Wedding Package | FJ$3,363 | No |
| Matamanoa Island Resort | Mamanucas | Basic Wedding | FJ$3,375 including tax | No |
| Taveuni Palms Resort | Taveuni | Wedding Package | US$3,500 | No |
| Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort | Coral Coast | Bure Ni Loloma Chapel | FJ$4,400 | No |
| Yatule Resort & Spa | Coral Coast | Elopement | FJ$4,999 | Yes — 3 nights, plus return Nadi transfers |
| Castaway Island Resort | Mamanucas | Wedding Ceremony, Castaway Style | FJ$5,062.50 | No |
| Royal Davui Island Resort | Beqa Lagoon | Elope Fiji | FJ$5,220 | No |
| Toberua Island Resort | Off Viti Levu | Elopement | From NZ$7,100 | Yes — 5 nights |
Only two of the fourteen bundle accommodation into the two-person price: Yatule with three nights and return Nadi airport transfers, and Toberua with five. Everything else is the ceremony, and the room is extra. A FJ$1,850 elopement at Likuri and a NZ$7,100 elopement at Toberua are not five thousand dollars apart in any meaningful sense.
One published outlier worth knowing. Likuri Island Resort states that you do not have to stay there at all — "Not staying at Likuri Island Fiji - not a problem you can still get married on the Island". That is unusual in Fiji, where the ceremony is normally attached to a room, and it makes Likuri genuinely the cheapest published route to being married on a Fijian island.
Two accuracy notes, because published figures drift. Royal Davui's live website shows FJ$5,220 while an older wedding-guide PDF still served on the same domain shows FJ$3,595 with validity that expired in March 2024 — the web figure is the current one. Matangi's package page carries a validity date of 31 March 2025 while still being promoted. And The Remote Resort describes its price as including "Fiji Government taxes of 25%", which does not match the current 12.5 per cent VAT plus 5 per cent Tourism Services Tax; confirm what is actually on your invoice.
What does a two-person package include?
Consistently more than couples expect, and the legal paperwork is usually in it.
Thirteen of the venues researched state that they obtain or include the marriage licence. The strongest published versions:
- Tropica Island Resort: "Fijian Marriage License and Certificate" plus "Personalised Assistance in Nadi at Registry Office and Private Car Transfer".
- Yatule Resort & Spa: fees for express licence and marriage certificate including registered postage, plus a registry run on arrival.
- The Remote Resort: "Liaison with the Fiji Government for pre-approval of your wedding license prior to your arrival".
- Royal Davui Island Resort: documents required four weeks before arrival — the tightest published lead time of any venue.
- Castaway Island Resort: private car transfers and escort to the registry office from Nadi or Denarau.
Beyond the licence, the two-person packages typically include a celebrant or minister, witnesses, floral work, a small cake — Tokoriki Island Resort specifies a "decorated wedding cake for two" — and a champagne toast. Matangi adds a Methodist minister, an a cappella choir, a private beachside candlelit dinner and a couple's massage.
Where does a two-person wedding actually happen?
The settings on offer are wider than beach-only, and a few are genuinely unusual.
| Setting | Venues that publish it |
|---|---|
| Beach | Nearly all of them |
| Chapel | Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort (Bure Ni Loloma, on Lomalagi Hill), Tokoriki Island Resort |
| Jetty or pier | Tokoriki Island Resort, Castaway Island Resort (Water's Edge Jetty), Tropica Island Resort |
| Your own villa deck | Tokoriki Island Resort, Taveuni Palms Resort |
| Hilltop | The Remote Resort ("peak on the hill") |
| Sand cay | Royal Davui Island Resort |
| A cluster of rocks reached by boat | Taveuni Palms Resort |
| Garden | Tropica Island Resort, Daku Resort, The Remote Resort |
Taveuni Palms' "rock wedding" — taken by boat to a nearby cluster of rocks to say your vows — is the most distinctive two-person ceremony published by any Fiji resort. Royal Davui's sand cay is the other. Both are the sort of thing that only works when there are two of you.
Which one should you pick?
If cost is the constraint: Likuri Island Resort at FJ$1,850, with no requirement to stay on the island, or Daku Resort from US$530 if you are already heading to Savusavu.
If you want one number that covers everything: Yatule Resort & Spa at FJ$4,999 with three nights and return Nadi transfers is the cleanest bundled product published, and Natadola Beach is about an hour from the airport.
If you want to be genuinely alone: Taveuni Palms Resort has two villas. The Remote Resort has eight and publishes that only one wedding is performed each day. Both are in the north, which means a domestic flight on top of your international one.
If you want easy and short: the Mamanucas. Tokoriki, Matamanoa, Tropica, Lomani and Castaway are all a catamaran from Port Denarau, and Tropica publishes a 45-minute direct transfer on the 15:15 departure.
If you want a chapel rather than sand: Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort's Bure Ni Loloma package at FJ$4,400 is the only dedicated chapel product published at this scale, though the venue does not publish a guest limit for it — its inclusions read couple-only.
What to ask before you book
Three questions, because the two-person market is where assumptions do the most damage.
- Is accommodation in this price, and for how many nights? Two of fourteen say yes. Assume no.
- Who are the witnesses? Fiji requires two with photo identification. Most resorts supply staff; confirm it rather than discovering it.
- Will the beach be ours? A two-person ceremony on a public stretch of sand at 17:00 is not private. Ask which location the price covers and whether it is exclusive for the hour.
