Only two Nadi restaurants publish a group capacity we can verify: Corner Cafe at 28 and Flavio's at 12. Above roughly 30 guests, Nadi group dining stops being a restaurant booking and becomes a function room, a buyout or hotel banqueting — and the venues that handle 100 or more are hotels and purpose-built event spaces, not restaurants.
That is the honest shape of the market, and it is worth knowing before you start ringing around. What follows is what is actually on record, which formats scale, and where each group size really goes.
Which Nadi restaurants have a published group capacity?
| Venue | Precinct | Format | Published group capacity | Private room | Buyout offered |

Why so many blanks? Most Nadi restaurants are independent operators without a functions page. Group capacity is handled by phone or email, and the answer depends on the night, the layout and whether you want exclusivity. That is not evasiveness, it is simply a market where group business is arranged by conversation. Corner Cafe, for instance, publishes private dining rooms, catering, High Tea and full-restaurant buyouts on its own site but no seat numbers at all; Legends publishes a functions pack and a functions email but no capacity. In both cases you will get a number in one call.
Where does a group of 20 go?
Twenty is comfortable territory. Corner Cafe is the one venue with a verified capacity above it, at 28, and it has been operating on Queens Road since 1993 as part of the Jack's of Fiji group, with private dining rooms for meetings and celebrations. For something less formal, interactive formats earn their place at this size:
- Arirang Korean BBQ in Martintar, where tabletop grilling and buffet service keeps a group self-directed
- Daikoku in Nadi Town, where teppanyaki tables turn dinner into the entertainment
- Small Plates Garden Restaurant in Martintar, where shared Cantonese-influenced small plates in an outdoor garden suit a social evening
- Little Ocean Seafood opposite Jetpoint, set up for group tables
For a group of 20 that wants a beach rather than a dining room, Vasaqa on Palm Road at Wailoaloa serves slow-smoked meats in a Fijian fusion style with sea views, Tuesday to Sunday, and offers private-function and catering services from drop-off through to full service.
Where does a group of 50 go?
Fifty is the break point, and it is worth being blunt: no Nadi restaurant in our directory publishes a capacity at this level. Your four realistic routes are:
- A function room. Legends Sports Bar & Restaurant on Ashram Road has dedicated function rooms and a functions pack, and its bar runs late. Contact the functions team directly at functions@legends.com.fj.
- A buyout. Corner Cafe offers full-restaurant buyouts, which converts an unknown capacity into a known one and gives you a set menu and no competing diners.
- A beachfront venue with outdoor space. Ghost Ship Bar & Grill at Smugglers Cove Beach Resort on Wailoaloa Beach seats indoors and out, is open to non-guests, and runs nightly programmes including kava nights, Polynesian dance and fire dancing — which solves the entertainment question at the same time.
- Catering into a venue you already have. Vasaqa and Corner Cafe both offer off-site catering, which lets you use a garden, a lawn or a hired space instead.
Where does a group of 100 go?
At 100 and above, Nadi's answer is hotels and purpose-built venues. These are the published capacities.
| Venue | Space | Published capacity | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nadi Event Centre | Purpose-built indoor hall | Up to 500 guests | In-house AV, sound and lighting; dedicated event manager; central Nadi Town |
| Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa | Baravi Ballroom | More than 500 guests per the resort; 450 banquet in our directory record | Divisible, lobby and driveway access |
| Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa | Crown Convention Centre | Sources conflict — see below | Pillarless; stand-alone complex |
| Tanoa International Hotel | Tagimoucia Room | Around 200 theatre or banquet | Five function spaces plus a convention centre; on-site kitchen |
| Tanoa Skylodge Hotel | Garden Court | Up to 150 guests | Sky Centre Conference Room A seats 120 theatre, 80 banquet |
| Novotel Nadi | Largest meeting room | 100 banquet | Six meeting rooms; the largest is around 260m² |
Where sources conflict. The Crown Convention Centre at Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay is described on the resort's own events page as a pillarless ballroom seating up to 900 delegates, with total meeting space across all seven venues of 1,540m². Our directory record for the same property, built from an earlier source, puts the Crown Convention Centre at up to 1,450 guests and the Baravi Ballroom at 493m² for up to 525 delegates. We publish both because we cannot reconcile them, and the difference matters at 900 versus 1,450. If you are planning at that scale, get the figure in writing from the venue for your specific set-up — a cocktail number and a banquet number are not the same thing, and much of the discrepancy in Fijian capacity data comes from comparing the two.
Which format should you choose?
- Under 30, want atmosphere: a beachfront restaurant at Wailoaloa, booked a week out.
- Under 30, want to talk business: Corner Cafe's private dining rooms, central and quiet.
- Around 50: a buyout or a function room. Do not try to squeeze 50 into a public dining room.
- 100 or more: hotel banqueting or Nadi Event Centre. Ask for the room's banquet capacity, not its cocktail capacity.
- Any size, wanting something Fijian: a lovo, either at a resort or catered into a hired space — our lovo night guide covers how that is staged.
Next step
For anything over 20, ring rather than email, and get four things confirmed in writing: the headcount, the set menu, how dietary requirements are handled, and the minimum spend. Compare against our Denarau Island group dining list, the offsite dinner venues guide and the restaurants and bars hub. Every venue above is listed in the Nadi directory.
Capacities as published by each venue or held in the MICE Fiji directory, reviewed 18 October 2026. Confirm directly before contracting.
