Ten questions, and you will have a shortlist. The honest summary first: if you want guests and convenience, choose Denarau Island or the Coral Coast. If you want seclusion and photographs, choose the Mamanucas. If you want an island to yourselves, look to the Yasawas or Fiji's Outer Islands — and accept a longer transfer day.

Work through the questions below, keep a tally, then read the result. Every venue named is one you can check in our directory, with published capacities rather than brochure adjectives.

How do you use this quiz?

Which venues fit each result?

In the Mamanucas — seclusion and water. Vomo Island Fiji and Musket Cove Island Resort & Marina both have island chapels, and Musket Cove's seats 80 with a Coral Cay island setting for 100. Treasure Island Resort has a glass-and-marble chapel with ocean views. Tropica Island Resort takes up to 60 on a full resort charter — and that charter is also what permits children. Wadigi Island is sole-use by default, for up to six.

On Denarau Island — guests and convenience. Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort has 297 rooms and an air-conditioned chapel at Sandy Point. Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa seats up to 100 in its ballroom. Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Denarau Island is the one Fiji resort that explicitly names its ballroom as a wet-weather backup. All are 20 minutes from the terminal.

On the Coral Coast — lawns, chapels and value. Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort is the strongest all-round answer: a hilltop chapel for 100, a covered terrace with garden views, and published packages at FJ$7,200 for 10 guests or FJ$11,500 for 30. Shangri-La Yanuca Island has 443 rooms and a seaside chapel for 40. InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa has a glass-walled pavilion over Natadola Bay. Fiji Hideaway Resort & Spa takes 30 to 80 at FJ$8,870.

In the Yasawas and Fiji's Outer Islands — exclusivity. Turtle Island Fiji rents the whole island by the week across 14 bures. Yasawa Island Resort offers full-resort reservation. Toberua Island Resort publishes a complete buyout at NZ$19,800 a night for up to 36 adults. Royal Davui Island Resort is 16 villas, adults 16 and over only.

Elopements. Likuri Island Resort from FJ$1,550 per couple, Yatule Resort & Spa from FJ$1,680 for a vow renewal or FJ$4,999 for an elopement with three nights. See Fiji elopement packages compared.

What are the tie-breakers?

If you are split between two regions, three questions settle it.

Question 2 beats everything else. If you have guests who are elderly, very young or less mobile, a boat transfer changes the whole day for them. That single answer rules out the island groups more decisively than budget does. See bringing elderly or less-mobile guests to Fiji.

Question 5 decides whether you need a roof. If you are marrying November to April, Fiji's wet season, Nadi recorded rain on 15 to 19 days a month across that period in 2025–26. Pick a chapel or a covered pavilion and the question disappears. Fiji wedding venues: wet-weather backup names the only three resorts that publish a backup venue.

Question 8 is a contract question, not a region question. Some Fiji resorts restrict outside suppliers. If bringing your own photographer matters, check it before you fall in love with a venue — outside-vendor friendly venues and can you bring your own photographer to a Fiji resort wedding? cover it.

What the quiz cannot tell you

Three things, and they all need a phone call.

The real transfer time on your arrival day. Published figures conflict — Denarau is quoted as both 20 and 30 minutes from the airport, and Pacific Harbour as anything from "just over two hours" to three hours. Get it from your transfer operator.

Whether your date is open. Peak Fiji wedding dates go 12 to 18 months out. When to book a Fiji wedding has the lead times.

What it will actually cost. Only six of the fifteen large Fiji resorts publish any wedding price at all. The rest require an enquiry — which is exactly why we publish the ones that do.

Take your result to the Fiji wedding venue capacity chart to size a shortlist, then to the venue comparison worksheet to compare quotes on the same basis. If you would rather skip the sorting, the full Fiji wedding venues guide lists every setting, island and capacity, and where to stay in Fiji covers the precincts.
