Fiji has eighteen verified wedding cake makers, split between Nadi and Denarau in the west, Suva in the south-east, and Lautoka. Almost none publishes a price list, most trade through Facebook or Instagram, and the ones with their own websites are the minority. That is normal here, and it means the brief you send does the work the price list would.
This is the directory, by region, with the contact channel for each. Then the brief that produces a cake which survives a Fijian afternoon — which is a different problem from choosing a design.
Who makes wedding cakes in Nadi and Denarau?
The western makers are the ones to approach for a wedding on Denarau Island, at Momi Bay, in the Mamanucas or anywhere along the airport corridor.
| Maker | Base | Contact channel | What they state |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cake World | Namaka, Nadi | Cake shop and bakery; custom wedding, birthday and occasion cakes; bespoke designs on request | |
| Corner Cafe | Nadi | Own website | Dedicated Cakes & Bakes service from an established cafe kitchen; pick-up or delivery around Nadi |
| Alis Cakehouse | Nadi | Made-to-order wedding and celebration cakes; serves Nadi and Denarau | |
| Five Sisters Cake Shop | Nadi | Direct enquiry | Custom wedding and celebration cakes; serves Nadi and Denarau |
| Baked in the Tropics | Nadi | Facebook and Instagram | Cake studio; wedding and celebration cakes to order |
| Boo FJ Cakes & Treats | Nadi | Facebook and Instagram | Tiered wedding cakes and themed celebration bakes |
Corner Cafe is the unusual one: a working cafe and restaurant running a cake service from the same kitchen that handles its dining and catering. For couples who want to taste before committing, a maker with a public counter is easier to assess than one who works to order from home.
Who makes wedding cakes in Suva?
Suva has the deepest bench, which reflects the capital's size rather than its wedding volume. Several of these are long-established bakeries rather than wedding specialists.
| Maker | Base | Contact channel | What they state |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sweet Endings Fiji | Carnavon Street, Suva, plus a counter at Tappoos City | Own website | Custom multi-tier fondant wedding cakes; features on Fiji wedding-cake guides |
| Arabian Cake and Event Center | Ratu Mara Road, Samabula, Suva | Own website; 959 7111; cakes@arabianfj.com | Custom cakes and cupcakes, pickup or delivery; also operates as an event space |
| Cakes 2000 Ltd | Salato Road, Suva | +679 332 2999 | Long-running bakery; celebration and wedding cakes plus everyday baked goods |
| Rosy Hearts Cakes | Several outlets around Suva | Direct enquiry | Established late 1990s; custom wedding and special-occasion cakes |
| Cakes & Flakes Fiji | Suva | Tiered wedding cakes, celebration and corporate-event cakes | |
| Craving Cakes | Suva | Wedding and celebration cakes; corporate and private events | |
| Cake-Crazy | Suva | Custom made-to-order wedding and celebration cakes | |
| Bakewell Cakes | Suva | Bakery; wedding and celebration cakes to order | |
| Anytime Cakes | Suva | Custom cakes for weddings, birthdays and events |
Who makes wedding cakes in Lautoka?
| Maker | Base | Contact channel | What they state |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fiji Cakes | Lautoka | Facebook and Instagram | Celebration and wedding cakes; features on Fiji wedding-cake directories |
| Cake Walk Fiji | Lautoka | Social media | Cake studio; bespoke wedding and event cakes |
| Cake Works Fiji | Lautoka | Social media | Made-to-order wedding, birthday and occasion cakes |
Lautoka sits between Nadi and nowhere much, which makes these three viable for a western wedding and awkward for anything else.
Which region's maker should you brief?
Geography decides this, and it decides it harder in Fiji than people expect.
| Your wedding is | Brief makers in | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Denarau, Nadi, Momi Bay | Nadi, or Lautoka | Minutes away; cake travels in a car, not a cold chain |
| Mamanuca or Yasawa island | Nadi | The cake goes by boat from Port Denarau — see below |
| Coral Coast | Nadi | Roughly an hour; the Suva makers are far further |
| Pacific Harbour | Suva or Nadi | Suva is closer, but confirm the maker will travel |
| Suva, Pacific Harbour east | Suva | The capital's own base |
| Taveuni, Vanua Levu, outer islands | Ask the resort | No cake maker in this directory is based there |
Suva to Nadi is the full length of Viti Levu's Queens Road, and it is not a delivery a cake maker will do casually. Do not assume a Suva maker will travel west, or a Nadi maker east, without asking and paying for it. Travel charges are normal and should be a separate line in your quote — the wider picture is in What Fiji Wedding Suppliers Charge and Why.
How do you brief a Fiji cake maker?
Five things, in this order. The first is the one couples get wrong.
- Servings, not tiers. A three-tier cake is a shape, not a quantity. Tell the maker how many guests need a slice and whether the cake is also the dessert. If it is dessert for 50 you need a materially larger cake than if dessert is served separately and the cake is cut for photographs.
- Where it will stand, and for how long. Indoors in air conditioning, or on a lawn at 4:00pm? Nadi's monthly average highs run 28–31°C, and a cake standing in that for two hours is a different cake from one that goes out at the moment of cutting. This is the whole subject of Wedding Cakes That Survive Fiji Heat, and it should be read before you choose a finish.
- The delivery window and who assembles. Ask whether the maker delivers, assembles the tiers on site, and stays to see it standing. A tiered cake assembled by a resort banquet team that has not done it before is a risk nobody priced.
- Refrigeration at the venue. Ask the resort, not the maker, what chilled storage is available and whether the cake may use it. Then tell the maker the answer.
- Dietary requirements. Gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free and eggless all change the recipe and the structure. Fiji's large Hindu community means eggless cake is routine here rather than exotic, which is a genuine advantage over many destinations.
What should you ask the resort before you order?
Four questions, and they can change which maker you use or whether you use one at all.
- Is a cake already included in your wedding package? Several Fiji resorts include one. Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay's published packages include a one-tier cake at 20 guests, a two-tier at 30 and a three-tier at 50. If a cake is included, ordering a second one is a duplicated cost, and the question becomes whether the resort will credit it back.
- Is there a cakeage or vendor fee for an outside cake? Resorts commonly charge to cut, plate and serve a cake they did not make. Get the figure in FJD before you order.
- May an outside supplier deliver at all? Some resorts require in-house suppliers. On Denarau Island, which is a gated precinct, an outside maker also needs gate access arranged in advance. See When a Resort Says You Must Use Their Suppliers.
- What chilled storage is available, and from what time? The answer determines what your maker can attempt.
How do you pay a Fiji cake maker from overseas?
Most of these businesses are small and several have no website, so expect to arrange a deposit by bank transfer or an online payment link, and the balance in FJD on delivery. Two practical rules: get the order confirmed in writing with the servings, the design, the delivery date and time, and the total in FJD — a Facebook message thread is a contract if it contains those four things — and never pay in full in advance. The payment mechanics for Fiji suppliers generally are in Booking a Supplier in Fiji from Overseas: Contracts and Payment.
Ask whether the quote includes VAT, and whether the Tourism Services Tax applies. Fiji's 5% Tourism Services Tax commenced on 1 September 2026 for businesses above a FJ$2 million turnover threshold — most independent cake makers sit well below that, while the resort serving the cake does not. Confirm current rates with the Fiji Revenue & Customs Service.
What this directory cannot tell you
Straight answer: price, and capacity. No maker in this list publishes a per-serving rate, a minimum order, a lead time or a maximum tier count. Several have no website at all, and their work is visible only on social media.
That is not a reason to distrust them — Fiji's wedding supplier base trades this way across every category, and the social-media portfolio is often a better guide to current work than a website updated three years ago. But it does mean you cannot shortlist from a desk. Message three makers in the right region with the same five-point brief, compare what comes back, and judge on the specificity of their questions as much as on the photographs. A maker who asks about your venue's refrigeration before quoting is a maker who has done this in Fiji in February.
