Four Fiji resorts publish a wedding package built for exactly 50 guests: InterContinental Fiji (Yalayala), Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay (Grand Fijian, FJ$50,999), Radisson Blu Denarau (Blu Fiji), and Fiji Hideaway, whose package scales to 50 at a published per-head rate. Several more have the capacity without a named package.
Fifty is the awkward number in Fiji. It is well past what most resorts' "intimate" packages cover — those usually stop at 20 or 30 — and well short of the ballroom scale the big Denarau properties are built for. Below is what is actually published, and where the gaps are.
Which venues publish a 50-guest package?
| Resort | Package | Published capacity | Published price (FJD) | NAN transfer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| InterContinental Fiji, Natadola | Yalayala | Up to 50 | Not published | About 55 min |
| Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay | Grand Fijian Wedding | 50 guests, 3 nights | FJ$50,999 | Not published |
| Radisson Blu Denarau | Blu Fiji | 50 guests | Not published | About 30 min, 13.6 km |
| Fiji Hideaway Resort & Spa, Coral Coast | Paradise Wedding | 30 included, maximum 80 | FJ$8,870 for 30, plus FJ$150 per extra adult | Not published |
All prices retrieved 25 September 2026. Sources: InterContinental Fiji weddings; Marriott Momi Bay weddings and packages; Radisson Blu weddings; Fiji Hideaway.
The two published prices sit a long way apart, and they are not comparing the same thing. Momi Bay's FJ$50,999 covers three nights and a full 50-guest event at a five-star property. Hideaway's structure — FJ$8,870 for 30 plus FJ$150 a head — puts a 50-guest ceremony and reception at roughly FJ$11,870, but requires all guests to stay at the resort. Read both against your own accommodation assumptions before concluding anything.
Two details worth carrying into an enquiry. InterContinental publishes a Club InterContinental buyout of 50 suites, which maps almost exactly onto a 50-guest wedding party, and guarantees only one wedding on any given day. Momi Bay also publishes one wedding per day, and names its pillar-free Grand Salon Ballroom (300 banquet) as the wet-weather room.
Which venues have the capacity but no 50-guest package?
These properties can clearly seat and feed 50; they simply quote rather than package.
| Resort | Ceremony capacity | Reception capacity | Rooms published |
|---|---|---|---|
| Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, Coral Coast | Bure Ni Loloma Chapel 120; Beach 120; Sunset Lawn 120 | Reef Ballroom 120 (air-conditioned); Palm View Terrace 120 | Not published |
| Musket Cove Island Resort, Mamanucas | Island Chapel 80; Coral Cay Island 100; Beach 100 | Beach Hut 120; Marama Room 100 (air-conditioned) | Not published as a total |
| The Naviti Resort, Coral Coast | Beach, beachfront lawns, gardens, two manmade islands | Bamboo Terrace Deck "50 to 80 guests"; marquee to 100 | Not published |
| Nanuku Resort, Pacific Harbour | Sunset Deck 60; Kanavata Bar & Lounge 60 | Club House Lawn 100; Kanavata 100 | 15 suites + 22 villas and residences |
| Warwick Fiji, Coral Coast | Wicked Walu; Navau Deck (capacities not published) | Talanoa Hall 400; Coral Coast Conference Centre 200 | 247 rooms and suites |
| Castaway Island Resort, Mamanucas | Monkey Rock Beach; Water's Edge Jetty; Mokimokiti Cabana | Restaurant 1808 seats up to 100 | 65 bures |
The single most on-brief line in the whole category belongs to The Naviti, whose Bamboo Terrace Deck is published as accommodating "groups of 50 to 80 guests" — a venue sized for exactly this problem.
Outrigger Fiji is the best chapel answer: a 120-capacity hilltop chapel plus a 120-capacity air-conditioned ballroom means a 50-guest ceremony and its wet-weather alternative both work without compromise. Castaway has the room stock for 50 but its published packages stop at 20 guests (Ultimate Wedding Package, FJ$15,440.63), so it is a custom-quote property.
Can the property actually sleep 50?
This is the question the category ignores, and it is the one that decides whether guests are split across two hotels.
Of seventeen Fiji resorts we reviewed, only four publish a total room count: Warwick Fiji (247 rooms and suites), Castaway Island (65 bures), Nanuku (15 suites plus 22 villas and residences) and Yatule Resort & Spa (36 bures). Everywhere else, the number exists but is not on the website.
Fifty guests is roughly 25 to 30 rooms once couples and families are allocated. That is comfortable at Warwick or Castaway, tight but workable at Nanuku (37 units, with a published resort capacity of 6 to 120 guests), and a real constraint at Yatule, where 36 bures is the binding number.
Ask for the total room count, and the number the resort will actually block for you, in the same email as the capacity question.
Where the published numbers disagree
Fiji venue capacities are frequently inconsistent between sources — including between two pages of the same hotel group's own site. Two live examples at Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort:
| Space | Venues page | Weddings page |
|---|---|---|
| Sandy Point | 500 banquet | 600 banquet |
| Denarau Island Convention Centre | 1,000 banquet | 1,150 banquet |
Both figures are published by Marriott (venues; weddings). Neither is wrong so much as differently configured. The lesson for a 50-guest wedding is not about these two rooms — it is that you should confirm the number that goes in your contract, rather than the number on the page.
Worth noting separately about Sheraton: its Oceanside Wedding Chapel caps at 30, so a 50-guest chapel ceremony is not possible there. The ceremony moves to the Wedding Lawn (70 banquet), Sandy Point, the beach or a ballroom.
Two venues to check the status of before planning
The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa displayed a "currently closed" alert on Marriott's site when we checked on 25 September 2026. Mana Island Resort & Spa is under full refurbishment and will reopen under the Radisson Individuals brand as a 160-room property, with completion targeted for late 2027 (Fiji Times). Confirm the position directly before building a 2027 date around either.
Three further properties — Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Malolo Island Resort and Koro Sun Resort — publish so little capacity data that they cannot be ranked here. That is not a mark against them. It means you have to ask.
The decision
Choose InterContinental Fiji if you want a named 50-guest package with a 50-suite buyout and a one-wedding-a-day guarantee, and you can live with 55 minutes from the airport.
Choose Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay if you want a fully specified, fully priced 50-guest event and a 300-capacity ballroom behind it.
Choose Fiji Hideaway if the budget is the binding constraint — it is the only property publishing a per-head rate that scales cleanly.
Choose Radisson Blu Denarau if the 30-minute transfer matters most, but note the Ocean Deck ceremony space caps at 60 and the ballroom at 100.
Choose Outrigger Fiji if you want a chapel ceremony for 50 with a genuine air-conditioned wet-weather room.
Choose The Naviti if you want a venue literally sized for 50 to 80.
Next, compare across every guest count in the Fiji wedding venue capacity chart, read the full setting-by-setting guide in Fiji wedding venues, scale up in Fiji wedding venues for 100 guests, or scale down in micro-weddings in Fiji: 10 to 30 guests. Browse by region from the Coral Coast or Denarau.
